Helen Palmer acted for a client who was injured in an unusual and worrying accident. As our client was walking along the street she was hit by a board that had been stacked beside a van.
It was a windy day and the board was blown along the street whereby it struck our client. Liability was admitted for the accident but the insurer concerned denied that the accident had caused our client’s injuries.
Helen therefore arranged for our client to be examined by an experienced and independent Orthopaedic Consultant local to our client. A report was produced by the medical expert which supported our client’s claim and a compensation payment was made.
We also made a claim for other associated losses, to include the cost of pain relief medication and travel expenses incurred by our client in attending various medical appointments
Our client received in the region of £2,600 and has thankfully fully recovered for their injuries.
Our client’s name has been withheld to respect their privacy but this is indeed a true case.
