The claimants details have been changed but this is indeed a true case

Helen Palmer acted for a client who sustained a nasty injury to their knee as a result of an accident at work.

Our client was employed as a Security Guard and whilst attending to an emergency call-out they slipped on a wet corridor whilst running to help a colleague. There were no warning signs to alert our client that the floor was wet.

Our client underwent intensive physiotherapy and then ultimately, they had surgery on their injured knee. Our client was off work for a considerable period following the surgery.

Liability was initially disputed but thanks to Helen’s persistence and well argued case, liability was eventually admitted.  Our client was awarded in the region of £17,000 for their personal injury and nothing was deducted from their compensation because their legal costs were also paid by the organisation responsible for the accident.
