Elaine joined Ward & Rider in May 2019, having previously worked at firms in Birmingham and Solihull.
Elaine studied a LLB (Law Degree) at Staffordshire University before completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Birmingham she then went on to train as a Solicitor and was admitted as a Solicitor in 2007 and has specialised in Family Law throughout her career.
Areas of Interest:
During her career Elaine has developed an interest in complex private children matters and has experience of dealing with cases with an international element, including Hague convention proceedings, Child Arrangements for children to safely spend time with a parent abroad and urgent applications for the protection of children.
In addition Elaine has an interest in representing Client’s where serious allegations are alleged against them, particularly in the case when false allegations are alleged whether in Children Act proceedings or Injunctive proceedings.
Additionally, Elaine is instructed on a regular basis in Divorce, Financial and Cohabitation Issues. She is a member of Resolution and is dedicated to handling all cases in a constructive manner in accordance with the Resolution Code of Practice and often resolves cases without the need to issue court proceedings, circumstances permitting.
In her spare time Elaine enjoys spending time with her family.
