After qualifying in the early 1990s and reaching the position of associate partner, Jason joined Ward & Rider in 1999. He became a partner in 2000 and is now Managing Director and Joint Head of the Personal Injury Department.

Jason deals with all types of claims, ranging from those worth a few thousand pounds to those worth millions of pounds. He has a wide breadth of experience and enjoys challenging cases.

Jason has been involved in the Motor Accidents Solicitors Society (known as MASS) for the last thirteen years. This has included five years as the West Midlands Regional Coordinator for MASS. MASS is a specialist organisation for solicitors who act for injured Claimants as a result of road traffic accidents. He is also one of the very few lawyers in the West Midlands who are recognised specialists in brain injury cases and he is a member of Headway.

Jason states: “I like to demystify and simplify every aspect of making a claim. I want to make sure that I take the strain of the claims process rather than my clients. I have always greatly enjoyed meeting and dealing with a whole range of diverse individuals. I came into the profession hoping to make a difference to people who had been injured. I have held this principle dear for the last couple of decades and believe this will remain with me throughout the rest of my (hopefully) lengthy legal career.”

Jason also comments: “I am proud to be a member of the charity Headway. This is a specialist organisation for Claimants and their families who have been unfortunate enough to have suffered significant head injuries. I am used to dealing with individuals who have suffered modest to catastrophic brain injury. I am also used to helping people whose compensation ranges from a few thousand pounds to multi million pound settlements, irrespective of whether they have been caused by road traffic accidents, accidents at work, tripping or slipping claims or claims for medical negligence.”

In his spare time Jason enjoys watching sport, particularly rugby, although his days of playing have now ended. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
