Geoff's Biography

Geoff studied law at Northampton University before going on to do the Legal Practice Course at DeMontfort University. He qualified as a solicitor in 1998

Geoff joined Ward & Rider in November 2001. He became a Director in 2012.

Geoff deals with all types of cases including Public Liability, Employer Liability, RTA, Sexual Abuse claims and Clinical Negligence.
Geoff has particular expertise in high value and catastrophic cases, including complex cases involving pain disorders such as fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain syndrome (ME) and Somatoform Disorders.

Recent cases of note include:

  • £360k for a client who suffered a broken leg as a result of his crutches failing.
  • £1.25 million for a client with learning difficulties who suffered a broken leg, arm and a moderate head injury as a result of being hit head on by a car whilst riding his bike.
  • £1.2 million for a client who crushed his arm during the course of his employment leading to above elbow amputation.
  • Geoff comments: "I think we set ourselves apart from many others who offer Personal Injury legal services. I understand how important it is to meet face to face with clients. This enables me to build up a good rapport and to get a better understanding of the client’s needs, which normally results in maximising damages. I get a lot of satisfaction in helping a client get back on their feet following what is often a traumatic event. I believe in no nonsense jargon which is simple to understand."
In his spare time Geoff enjoys watercolour painting, Formula 1 and spending time with family and friends.
