£7,500 Successful Road Traffic Accident Claim
Miss C*, from Coventry, was recently successful in her no win, no fee claim handled by Personal Injury lawyer Jason Claridge at Ward & Rider Solicitors. She had been travelling with her sister in her car. They had come to a busy roundabout. They had stopped and were waiting for a gap in the traffic so that they could continue their journey. Unfortunately, the driver who was following our client, and who was in a company HGV, did not stop in time. He hit the rear of our client's vehicle, pushing it forward which directly resulted in the client having a personal injury.
As a result our client suffered a whiplash injury and psychological injury and this led to an accident claim. It was a significant accident and there was extensive damage to our client's vehicle. Although our client had a desk-based job, she still needed time off work to recuperate from her injuries and undergo treatment. Her partner took over a lot of the domestic duties for a while following the accident and she was also unable to pursue her sporting interests following the personal injury.
Our opponents admitted liability. Rehabilitation was arranged. This helped Miss C to return to her pre-accident state of health. We still made a personal injury claim on her behalf in respect of her injuries and her financial losses. We claimed for the help and assistance provided by her partner following the accident. We also advanced a claim for treatment and travel costs. Furthermore, we claimed for the personal injury element of the claim, namely her pain, suffering and loss of amenity. As is often the case in such matters, the insurers made a number of offers in respect of our client's injuries before a figure for compensation was agreed.
As a consequence of this road traffic accident, our client suffered a whiplash-style injury as well as psychological injuries. In addition, she had financial losses. She accepted a figure of £7,500 in full and final settlement of her claim. In addition, her legal costs from this accident claim were also covered.
*Miss C's name has been changed to respect her privacy, but this is indeed a true accident claim case that we have run for our client.
