Successful Personal Injury Claim Against Local Council
Ward and Rider Solicitors acted for Mr S from London on a No Win No Fee basis. Mr S was walking his dog on land owned/occupied by his local Council. As Mr S passed a metal gate, one of the gate posts, which was defective, suddenly gave way and struck him on the head, knocking him to the ground.
As a result of the accident Mr S suffered injury to his head, back and ankle when he fell.
The Council’s insurance company denied liability for the accident and so a no win no fee claim for Mr S’s injuries and travelling and other expenses was made on his behalf.
Legal proceedings were issued at Court on behalf of Mr S and before the accident claim went to a final Court hearing it was settled by negotiation with the Council’s Solicitors.
Mr S received a cheque for £4,000 in respect of his personal injury claim.
