Sarah Venables

Sarah joined Ward & Rider in October 2006 as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified as a Solicitor in July 2008.

Sarah achieved a 2:1 LLB at Coventry University and went on to study the Legal Practice Course at The College of Law, Birmingham where she achieved a commendation. As part of her training contract, Sarah also successfully completed the Professional Skills Course.

During her training contract at Ward & Rider, Sarah undertook seats in Employment, Family and Conveyancing.

Sarah decided to specialise in Employment Law and has gained experience in a wide variety of employment issues from unfair dismissal to discrimination.

Sarah comments "I am passionate about helping clients assert their employment rights and achieving a resolution in situations where they have been unfairly dismissed or discriminated against. This aspect of my work is extremely rewarding."

Sarah was recently shortlisted for the Assistant Solicitor of the Year Award at the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards 2009.

Sarah is a keen Salsa dancer. She recently took part in a "salsa marathon" to raise money for charity.
